- What is subscription observability?
- It is the practice of comparing commercial evidence with application access evidence. Ropely reconstructs that timeline. It is not a payment processor, analytics vanity dashboard, or generic chatbot.
- Which sources can Ropely observe?
- Start with Stripe and RevenueCat. You can also add Stripe entitlement summaries, enterprise contracts, custom entitlement observations, application access events, and release events.
- What is paid-without-access?
- A customer has payment or renewal evidence and does not have the expected observed access. Stripe alone cannot prove it. Application access events are required.
- What is revenue at risk?
- Integer-minor-unit amounts associated with customers who paid but currently lack observed access. Currencies are never mixed or converted.
- How does commercial identity work?
- Each provider identifier stays in its own namespace. Matching email text alone is not enough to link customers. A teammate must confirm a link.
- What is Investigator?
- A read-only investigation workspace that gathers stored evidence, asks clarifying questions, and proposes hypotheses. It never changes billing or access.
- Does Investigator change billing or access?
- No. Investigator answers questions from stored records. It does not change billing or grant access.

- How does Ropely handle security?
- Connections are read-only. Provider credentials are encrypted. Ropely does not receive card details or take payment custody.
- Does Ropely work with mobile stores?
- If those purchases already flow through RevenueCat or Stripe, Ropely can observe them there. Connect the provider you already use.
- Does Ropely automatically refund duplicate subscriptions?
- Ropely does not automatically change billing or access. Overlapping coverage is classified, not cancelled.
- What is a free Stripe subscription health check?
- A read-only scan of payments, subscriptions, customers, and webhook health. It does not invent paid-without-access findings from Stripe alone.
- How do release events help?
- Send deployment events through the Ropely API so you can compare a release with nearby subscription issues. A nearby release is not automatically the cause.
- What is observed access versus expected entitlement?
- Expected entitlement is derived from commercial evidence. Observed access is merchant-reported through the access-events API. They are compared. Neither is a Ropely grant.
- What is customer overpayment?
- A customer with more than one concurrently overlapping paid commercial relationship that is not classified as legitimate family or enterprise coverage.
