Definitions used by Ropely’s evidence and developer contracts.
- Atomic credit unit
- The smallest integer unit your ledger records. A credit currency identifies the unit; it is not automatically a money currency.
- Coverage
- The source, scope and time boundary an export declares it includes. Completeness must be supported, not inferred from a nonempty file.
- Finding
- An evidence-backed difference between the expected outcome and the observed records under a defined rule.
- Inconclusive
- Evidence or supported semantics are insufficient for a reliable match or mismatch. It is not a clean result.
- Fulfillment grace
- The explicit time allowed for an expected grant to appear after payment, before treating its absence as a finding.
- Idempotency
- Repeating the same logical request without creating an additional effect. Reusing a key for different evidence is a conflict.
- Ledger
- An ordered history of application credit transactions. Immutable entries preserve the distinction between an original grant and a later correction.
- Purchase reference
- An exact provider identifier stored in an application transaction to connect the grant to its purchase.
- Snapshot
- A saved observation with its declared coverage and evaluation time. It does not imply the source is continuously monitored.
- Watermark
- The checked-through time attached to evidence or a run. Later activity is outside that result.
- Entitlement
- The application access or capability granted to an account. Payment state alone is not proof that the application enabled it.
- Revocation
- Disabling a credential so future requests fail. Copies of evidence already exported are not recalled.
